What's Stopping You From Easy Weight Loss?

If you're struggling with weight loss, you may feel that easy weight loss just isn't possible. After all, you have to work hard just to see the scale drop one pound. Surely, those that claim they can lose weight quickly are just lying or trying to tell you something. The truth is that easy weight loss is possible. There's just one thing that's stopping you from achieving it. Your mind.

You see, most people have this idea that losing weight is something that has to be hard. You have to go on a diet. You have to count calories. You cannot eat your favorite foods. You have to spend hours exercising every day. This puts you in a frame of mind that actually makes it difficult to lose weight. You end up spending time thinking about all the things that you CAN'T have instead of the things that you do have.

Laura Fenamore points out in Body Image Mastery that your mind has an amazing amount of control over your body. Even though you may not realize it, you probably have several thoughts that limit yourself and cause you to keep your weight instead of releasing it.

If you want to achieve easy weight loss, you have to change your thinking. Instead of thinking about how you can't have a cookie, think about how great a banana will taste. Instead of thinking about how you'd rather watch TV than exercise, focus on how strong you feel when you lift weights. These things sound simple, but when you put yourself into a positive frame of mind, weight starts to melt off naturally.

Of course, it can be hard to change your thinking. You probably won't be able to wake up one day with a whole new attitude. One of the first steps is to catch yourself thinking negative things and consciously turn them into positive thoughts. Over time, it will become second nature.

If you want to speed up the process and jump right into that positive mindset, you'll have to do some work on yourself, learning why you think the way that you do. Body Image Mastery walks you through exercises that will help you to discover these negative feelings and to change them, creating a new you.

Learning to approach things from a positive angle can take some time, but you'll find that each little bit helps. And along with the new attitude will come the easy weight loss that you've been looking for.
